Undercover
Done in crayon, oil pastel and permanent marker (fine and ultrafine point). 16 June 06 I was playing around with mediums again and this is how it turned out. I wanted to use colored sharpies to embolden the outlines of the more colorful aspects of the pic (ie, the clothing) and then do my best to shade it with oil pastel. The effect wasn't quite what I was aiming for, but I think it turned out pretty good, just the same. Next time, I might go the semi-abstract route and do the outlining thing for all elements of the pic. (or I could just play with it like this again; I dunno, we'll see.) Let me know what you think. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
